I would like to give small repairs which one can attend at his house without assistance of any technician.
Electrical:
Our house electricity: In India domestic electric supply is of A.C 230V single phase. all most all our house appliances work with the above supply only.
low power consume appliances with have two pin plug. and more power consumed appliances will have three pin pin again they are of two types. small three pin viz: 5Amp plugs and big three pin plugs 15Amp plugs. in every three pin socket the right side pin will be given phase. means if you put tester in right pit it will glow, if it is not there like this change your socket connection to correct.
We will have many electrical appliances such as
1.elcetric Bulbs, They will have filmet. if the filmet broken bulb will not glow. it needs replacement. one should remove and fix another bulb.
Tube lights:Tue lights will have 2' and 4' length nowadays other sizes are also available. the tube light will have
a) frame, is a metallic sheet to give base to bulb
b) chock, is also called as auto transferrer. is a coil. Some times it fails and should be replaced
Starter: It is a small cylindrical shape and costs 5 to 10 rupees. if failed. the bulb will not glow and the sides small glow will appear. if not replaced the bulb will be damaged.
and tube bulb: if the sides of bulb become black bulb will not glow. it should be replaced.
, TFL etc.,
2.Heating :
a) Electric iron,
Electric oven, water heater etc.,
3.Motors: a) Fans, Washing machine, grinders, wet grinder, Fridge, Air Conditioners etc.,
4.wiring: single phase, sometimes three phase, 5Amps appliances and 15 Amp appliances.etc.,
Kitchen:
Gas Stove, cocker, plates, tiffen boxes, worm boxes etc.,
